How we started

It began with one person's own foot

In 2021 Anders Thengs, co-founder and CTO, slipped on ice and broke his knee. The injury improved over time, but it left him with lasting foot drop.

During his treatment he tried several of the solutions available on the market without finding one he was satisfied with. As a mechatronics student he gathered a group of fellow students, and the work on a new kind of ankle-foot orthosis began as a bachelor project. That project became NeuroFlex Robotics in 2024.

Our mission

Our aim is to give people living with foot drop an assistive device designed for intention-based movement. We are developing it together with orthopaedic clinics and clinicians, so that it fits into the care that already exists.

Drevelin Ortopedi Sør

Drevelin Ortopedi Sør

The collaboration between NeuroFlex Robotics and Drevelin Ortopedi Sør formally began on 20 June 2025, but the history goes further back. During the bachelor project that led to the company being founded in spring 2024, Drevelin contributed professional support and built the very first prototype of the orthosis.

Since then Drevelin has given us insight into the orthopaedic field, both into the solutions available today and into how function, user experience and workflow for orthopaedic technicians can be improved.

Drevelin also takes part in the clinical testing of the orthosis and contributes practical experience as the work continues.
